Madhu was an Asura who, along with his brother Kaitabha, attacked Narayana when he was in Yoganidra. Narayana tricked Madhu and Kaitabha and killed them both with Sudarshana Chakra.
Krishna is also known as Madhusudana, the slayer of Madhu.
