Translation of the original Vyasa Mahabharata
ಅಂಶಾವತರಣ ಹಿಂದೆ ಜಾಮದಗ್ನಿಯು ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೊಂದು ಬಾರಿ ಪೃಥ್ವಿಯನ್ನು ನಿಃಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿ ಪರ್ವತೋತ್ತಮ ಮಹೇಂದ್ರದ ಮೇಲೆ ತಪಸ್ಸು ಮಾಡುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಭಾರ್ಗವನಿಂದ ಲೋಕಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರೇ ಇಲ್ಲದಂತಾದಾಗ ಕ್ಷಾತ್ರಿಣಿಯರು ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ಭವನ್ನು ಬೇಡಿದರು. ಆಗ ಸಂಶಿತವ್ರತ ಬ್ರಾಹ್ಮಣರು ಋತುಮತಿಯರಾಗಿದ್ದಾಗ ಮಾತ್ರ ಸಂಭೋಗ ಮಾಡಿದರು. ಕಾಮಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಎಂದೂ ಕೂಡಲಿಲ್ಲ. ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಬಂಧದಿಂದ ಕ್ಷಾತ್ರಿಣಿಯರು ಸಹಸ್ರಾರು ಸಂಖ್ಯೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಗರ್ಭಧರಿಸಿದರು ಮತ್ತು ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯ ವೀರಸಮನ್ವಿತ ಕುಮಾರ ಕುಮಾರಿಯರಿಗೆ ಜನ್ಮವಿತ್ತು ಪುನಃ ಕ್ಷತ್ರಿಯರ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ದಿಯಾಯಿತು. ಈ ರೀತಿ ಸುತಪಸ್ವಿ…
